About
Software engineer, founder of Frontier Consulting and independent iOS developer, based in London, England.
I'm Wayne George, a software engineer and entrepreneur from London. I am the founder of Frontier Consulting, a technology consultancy that builds custom software and AI solutions for UK businesses, and I have spent more than a decade engineering bespoke control systems for some of the world's largest corporate clients. I develop privacy-first iOS apps, contribute to the open-source Grin cryptocurrency project, and compiled the book Grin: A Brief Story.
I have always been drawn to the point where hardware, software and people meet. My career began in the audiovisual industry, writing the control software that makes boardrooms, event spaces and control rooms work at the touch of a button. That work took me inside Google, Apple, UBS, JP Morgan Chase and Morgan Stanley, and taught me what "production-grade" really means when a room full of executives is waiting for the screen to come on.
When large language models arrived, I recognised the same shift I had seen with cloud and mobile, only faster. Custom software that used to take a team six months can now be designed, built and shipped by a small group in weeks, and it can do things that were previously out of reach for a small business. In January 2024 I founded Frontier Applications Limited, now trading as Frontier Consulting, to bring that capability to UK businesses that want to automate the work they thought could not be automated.
Outside client work I build things for myself and for people I care about: Mood Share, a private app for sharing how you feel with the people you love; NVR Companion, a toolkit for parents practising Non-Violent Resistance; an open-source iOS wallet for Grin; and a growing set of tools that use multiple AI agents to run parts of my own business.

Gym, swimming and long walks with the dog. I am trying to eat less meat and more vegetables, for the planet as much as for me. London born and raised.
